We report on the Rosetta mission to share the news and follow the progress of the precarious-perched Philae. But sometimes it takes another form of communication to dig down deep and release the wonder we all feel inside at the amazing images that daily light up our monitors. Music. Inspired by the Rosetta mission and in celebration of it, Vangelis composed three pieces of music set to slide shows featuring beautiful imagery of comet 67P/C-G and Philae.
“Rosetta’s Waltz”
“Mythology, science and space exploration are subjects that have fascinated me since my early childhood,” said Vangelis. “And they were always connected somehow with the music I write.”
I hope you’ll feel inspired too as you watch and listen.
“Philae’s Journey”
So turn down the lights, set the volume to max and enjoy a musical tribute to a great accomplishment.
