We guarantee you’ll go out of your Vulcan mind watching this new car commercial starring Spock … and Spock.
The Audi ad shows Leonard Nimoy (Spock from Star Trek‘s original series) and Zachary Quinto (Spock from Star Trek: Into Darkness, which premieres May 17) looking for new challenges after Nimoy wins a chess match.
“You want to play a round of golf in the club and get some lunch? Whoever gets to the club last buys lunch,” Quinto says to his predecessor.

“Stand by to have your wallet emptied by a tractor beam,” responds Nimoy.
The result is two minutes full of Star Trek jokes as the older and slower Nimoy struggles with his golf clubs and navigation and Quinto enjoys a smoother ride. But you’ll have to watch the video to see who wins.
Hours after the commercial was uploaded, Nimoy smugly tweeted: “Always enjoy my friend @zacharyquinto. But trying to beat me out of a free lunch is not logical. LLAP”, with the last part referring to his famous line from Star Trek: “Live long and prosper.”
The pair also enjoyed screen time together in 2009 during the first of the rebooted Star Trek films.

that foul-mouthed nimoy character is a good one – mightve made a nice llittle comedy bit like curb your enhusiasm
Greatest futuristic TV show there ever was, …Star Trek. Especially the very 1st series. Untouchable to this day. Gene Roddenberry was, is & forever will be, …the very best of the very best.
Great commercial. Which Audi were they advertising again? I could go for the one that can park itself.
Utterly brilliant, especially the “Spock grip” part. I laughed out loud. Yes i did.
Yeah that was the best part. Nice drop by Zach there!
Ha, Spockian golf. “On my planet, ‘to rest’ is to rest, to cease using energy. To me it is quite illogical to run up and down on green grass, using energy instead of saving it.”
But getting free lunch, now that is logical. Sorry, Heinlein.
Old Spock > New Spock… regardless of what car he is driving! lol
