This is an amazing picture of the space shuttle Discovery as it prepares for lift-off at the NASA Kennedy Space Center’s launchpad on August 24, 2009. The space shuttle was launch the next day.

This is an image of the space shuttle Discovery getting ready for the STS-128 mission at Launch Pad 39A located at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. This image was captured on August 28, 2009.

Here’s a photo of the Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft carrying the Discovery space shuttle on its back. The aircraft landed at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Shuttle carrier aircrafts are used to transport Space Shuttle orbiters from the landing site back to the launch complex.

This is a great image of space shuttle Discovery as it lifts off from the NASA launchpad on October 23, 2007. The Discovery space shuttle was launched to the International Space Station for the STS-120 mission.

This is a nice view of the Discovery space shuttle lift-off for the STS-128 mission. This scenic view was captured from the Banana River Viewing Site at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
