Universe Today
If you had problems accessing Universe Today yesterday, don't worry, you weren't alone. I was "lucky" enough to end up on the homepage of
Google News
for the Sedna story. The resulting traffic brought my webserver to its knees. I had a chat with my service provider and they've recommended some upgrades to the server to better handle future traffic spikes. They'll be installing the new hardware on Thursday at 1500 UTC (10 am EST), so the website will be down for 1-2 hours. Okay, Google... bring it on.
Thanks to everyone who donated over the weekend... it was good timing. :-)
