Wanna get turned on by … “Astrobiology” ?? Are we alone in the universe?

Well check out just this newly-released music video parody of Ke$ha’s hit song “We R Who We R” – “Astrobiology.”

Suspend your disbelief. It’s different. It’s cool. And it’s very clever.

And .. It’s even better the second time around when you listen to the lyrics more closely … combined with the shocking video .. Featuring beautiful maidens and alien dolls galore.

You – and NASA too – might even learn something …. that’s the point of this “educational” video. It hits all the key highlights in the search for extraterrestrial life … ET

including … Mars, Europa, Titan, Enceledus … and even Arsenic

The parody was produced by “Jank”. More at their website and this story at NASA Watch.

And just for good measure – here’s a link to the original music video of Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R”.

It’s life, Jim, but not as we know it… pretty well sums it up!

    Is this video IAU approved?

As for the second Ke$ha video, it says; “This video contains content from Vevo, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.”

I’d wondered for a while why she has a ‘$’ symbol in her name. It says it all, doesn’t it?

The Great Fire Wall of America strikes again! Thanks guys.

I never heard of Ke$ha. I tend to agree, this is pop nonsense, though the parody is somewhat clever. My tastes in music are fairly broad, where classical music is probably at the core of my musical tastes. I am also a big heavy metal fan — compare Led Zepellin, Metallica or Pink Floyd guitar leads with Brahm’s Violin Concerto. The musical artistry is remarkably similar. I am also a big jazz lover. However, pop-ish stuff and rap music is not my cup of tea.

not bad. not great but not bad either. i guess you can only get so much when you use Ke$ha as inspiration. wish we could see more from Alpine Kat. her LHC Rap is way cool. here’s the link to that if anyone missed it before:

I could only stand around 50 seconds of this. Even though it’s a parody this type of music automatically makes me reach for the off-switch.

That is 50 seconds of my life I can NEVER get back…….

OUWWWWWCH!!! I guess talent isn’t needed these days, just a quasi-fashion statement that really doesn’t even have to not suck.
