The Future of NASA’s Human Space Flight Program

The future of NASA’s human space flight looks exciting and bright in this new video. Only time will tell if the ISS program, COTS, CCDev2, Orion and SLS can come together to create the perfect storm of what could be an incredible future. Great expectations? You bet. But isn’t that what NASA is all about? Now if Congress can just get that message and figure it out.

    1. By the deffinition that you apear to be using Winski, we have been copying the Model-T for the last century. The fact is that if it works, why does it need to change? We are not yet a the stage where we can build a space elivator or anti-gravity, what do you propose that would be better?

  1. That video was awesome. It is a pitty it is not in HD. After watching it I would say lets go forward with manned exploration of Mars but after that first reaction my mind kicks in and says: ‘why humans? lets make some robots’ and ‘first the moon (buildup station to Mars), then Mars’. But if all of this gets through I won’t complain! I guess if the US stops making war there is enough cash around.

Again, we should have an international space agency so we can combine money and know-how to serve common human goals.

  2. Yeah. It is exciting, but there are those in Congress and many wannabes who would rather have us go back to banging rocks together than exploring the Solar System. The whole program is ‘flawed’ and a ‘waste of money’. As if all the money going into the projects would be put in bushel baskets on Olympus Mons.
