- St. Mark's School of Texas Planetarium - 6:00 pm, August 27/30 - "Marquest" (A Loch Ness Production) free planetarium shows 6:00-7:00 & 7:30-8:30 pm with telescope viewing 9:00 -10:00 pm on both days.
Houston
- Challenger 7 Memorial Park - Dusk, August 23 - The park will remain open until midnight. Sorry, no rain/cloud date. More info

- Haley's Park - 9:00 pm, August 29 - Haley's Park is located behind the Blakemoore Planetarium. All are welcome and no admission fee. More info
Needville
- George Observatory (HMNS) at Brazos Bend State Park - 9:00 pm, August 27/28 - The George Observatory will be open for special Mars viewing from 9 pm to midnight on August 27 and 28th.
Oil City - Franklin - Titusville
- Oil Region Astronomical Observatory - 9:00 pm, August 27 - The Oil Region Astronomical Observatory in Two Mile Run County Park will be open to the public Wednesday, August 27 starting at 9:00 PM. A brief educational program on Mars will be provided by OCHS and UPT astronomy teacher, Tim Spuck. More info
San Antonio
- ASU Planetarium - 8:00 pm, August 28 - Free planetarium show "Mars, the Red Planet" from 8 pm, with telescopes set up in the parking lot after the show. More info
- Seguin Outdoor Learning Center - Sundown, August 23 - This event is free and open to the public. For direction to the SOLC, please visit their web site. If you arrive after dark, we ask that you turn off your headlights as you approach the viewing field. More info
