Greensboro
- The Natural Science Center of Greensboro will hold Mars observing sessions on Wednesday August 27th and Saturday August 30th, from 9:30PM - midnight. Both public observing sessions will be held in the Natural Science Center's parking lot, are free of charge and are sponsored by the Greensboro Astronomy Club. - Blue Jay Point Park - September 3 (rain date: September 4) - Mars in the Park at Blue Jay Point County Park. RAC members will present telescopic views of Mars for the public. More info

- Snipes School, Chestnut Street - 9:00 pm, August 23 and 27 - Additional veiwing session on August 30, 2003 at the Fort Fisher State Park in Kure Beach, 20 miles away from Wilmington. More info
