  • Irene W. Pennington Planetarium, 100 S. River Road - 7:00 pm, August 27 - Special planetarium programming which will include a tour of the nighttime sky pointing out seasonal constellations, the Moon and other celestial objects; a demonstration of planetary orbits; recent close-up images of Mars; and using the Infinium planetarium star projector, visitors will view Earth and Sun from the surface of the Red Planet.   • SPAR Planetarium 2820 Pershing Blvd. - 9:00 pm, Every Tuesday in August - The Blue Moon Traveling Observatory presents "The All You Can See Mars Buffet" thats all you can SEE not all you can eat. 9 till midnight every Tuesday in August. See Mars up close and personal in a giant 20 inch reflector telescope. Plus the planetarium dome will be open for you to sit and stargaze in the cool enviroment of our airconditioned star theater.
