Colorado Springs
- USAF Academy Planetarium - 7:00 pm, August 27 - Available only to persons holding a valid DOD ID and their guests. The ID is required to enter the Academy which is a Military Base. We will feature two different planetarium programs during the evening and had two telescopes available for viewing Mars on the evening of the 27th. More info
- Sky Sox Stadium - 7:30 pm, August 27 - This is a public event and will be located in the Sky Sox Parking lot. No fee! It's FREE to all. Organized by the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society. More info
Denver
- Chamberlin Observatory - 9:00 pm, August 27 - Denver Astronomical Society, with blessings of Denver University, will hold a "Mars Madness" event at the Chamberlin Observatory, Wednesday, August 27, 2003, from 9 PM until Midnight. This is located at 2930 East Warren Avenue, Denver, CO. More info in club newsletter, The Denver Observer, downloadable from the DAS website, http://www.denverastrosociety.org. The Clark 20" refractor, owned by Denver University, will be open, as will numerous privately owned scopes on the south side of the observatory. This will be repeated the evening of September 6, 2003, at the same location by the same club members. More info
