Cottonwood

  • River Front City Park - 8:00 pm, August 30 - Scopes will be set up at the grassy knoll next to the ramadas beyond the parking area. More info

Gilbert / Mesa

  • Riparian Preserve Park - 7:30 pm, October 1, 3, & 10 - To get there, from the intersection of Greenfield and Guadalupe Roads, head east. Turn right at the third driveway from the intersection. The Preserve is just east of the library. More info

Maricopa

  • Stone Haven Observatory - 7:00 pm, August 23, 30 - Viewing Mars at opposition until late into the night, or at least until the Moon comes up, or we get too silly.

Phoenix

  • Arizona Science Center - 7:30 pm, August 27 - Several telescopes will be set up in Heritage Square until approximately 9:30 PM to view Mars at opposition. More info
  • Lake Pleasant - 6:30 pm, August 23 - Please wear appropriate attire for desert, there are no facilities, bring plenty to drink and chairs, everyone welcome. Directions: take I-17 N. to Carefree Hwy, go West to Mile marker 18, turn right onto paved rd for 1 mile, at end of pavement, we are right there on left side. More info

Sedona

  • Sedona Public Library - 9:00 pm, Sept 5th (Raindate: Sept 7th) - The event is free. Scopes of all sizes on hand for viewing thru refractors, and large reflectors up to 28inches. More info
