• Birds Hill Park - 10:00 pm, August 27/31 - Join Planetarium staff and members of the RASC Winnipeg Centre for an evening of telescope observing devoted to the Red Planet Mars. Telescopes will be set up along South Drive in Birds Hill Provincial Park on August 27 & 31 to provide close-up views of the red planet. We'll also be able to see other highlights of the summer sky: the Great Hercules star cluster, the Summer Triangle and the stars in the Milky Way. There will also be astronomers on-hand to point out various constellations and answer questions. If the sky is cloudy, the event will be cancelled, call the Planetarium Star Line at 988-0605 for details on the date of the event. Admission is free! These are great events that the whole family can enjoy! More info
