TWO NEW MOONS DISCOVERED AROUND SATURN
-------------------------
Astronomer Brett Gladman announced this week that he and his team have discovered two new satellites orbiting Saturn, designated S/2000 S5 and S6. The moonlets, probably no larger than 10km across were discovered using the European Southern Observatory's 2.2 metre telescope in Chile. This brings the total number of moons discovered this year to six.

WEATHER LOOKS GOOD FOR ENDEAVOUR'S LAUNCH TOMORROW
-------------------------
The space shuttle Endeavour is all ready for tomorrow's launch to the International Space Station, and this time, it looks like the weather is cooperating. Meteorologists predict a 90% chance of clear skies at Cape Canaveral for the shuttle's scheduled launch time - 10:06pm EST (3:06am GMT Friday). Endeavour and its five-astronaut crew will spend 10 days in orbit delivering and installing the station's new solar panels.

JAPANESE ROCKET LAUNCH DELAYED
-------------------------
The Japanese space agency NASDA announced today that it will be delaying the launch of its newest rocket, the H-2A, for at least half a year. NASDA officials stated that the delay was necessary because of problems that developed with the most recent engine test. The H-2A was designed to be a replacement for the recently cancelled H-2 program, which was too expensive to compete with the European and American launch systems.

SCIENCE TEAM CHOSEN FOR SIM MISSION
-------------------------
NASA announced yesterday that it has chosen the team of scientists who will use the upcoming Space Interferometry
Mission (SIM) observatory, scheduled for launch in 2006. SIM will trail behind the Earth's orbit, determining the distance and position of stars more accurately then previously possible. It will also search for Earth-sized planets orbiting other stars, using a technique called "optical inferometry".
