A Universe Today Exclusive http://www.universetoday.com/html/special/plasmarocket.html DELTA ROCKET LAUNCHES AIR FORCE SATELLITE ------------------------- A Boeing Delta 2 lifted off on Friday from Cape Canaveral carrying a US military navigation satellite into orbit. The launch occurred at 5:14pm GMT, and separation occurred 25 minutes later as the Lockheed Martin GPS satellite reached its final orbit. This GPS satellite joins the rest of the US Air Force constellation of ground navigation satellites, enabling the military (and others) to determine their exact position on the planet. Several young stars in the Orion Trapezium Cluster - a prime stellar nursery located in the Orion Nebula - get as hot as 60 million degrees, and give off X-rays 100,000 times more powerful than our own sun.
