DISCOVERY CATCHES HUBBLE

The crew of Discovery caught up with the troubled Hubble Space
Telescope last night and captured it with shuttle's robot arm.
With the shuttle firmly attached to the telescope, the crew is
preparing for a series of three spacewalks over the next three
days to replace the failed gyros and upgrade some of its
older equipment.

ARIANE-4 LAUNCHES THE LARGEST TELCOM SATELLITE INTO ORBIT

The largest telecommunications satellite ever built has been
successfully placed into orbit on board an Ariane 44L rocket.
This launch from Kourou, French Guiana was the 51st successful
consecutive launch for Arianespace. The 4.1 tonne Galaxy XI
satellite was built by Hughes Space and Communications.

ASHES FOR 36 PEOPLE SENT INTO SPACE
-------------------------
Houston-based Celestis offers a unique service; for only
$4,800, you can have your ashes sent into orbit, to circle
the earth for 45-years. 36 seven-ounce capsules were sent
into orbit on Monday alongside a $17.5 million NASA satellite
launched on board a Taurus rocket from Vandenberg Air
Force base.
