CHANDRA ORBIT FINALIZED
------------------------
After a series of five orbital adjustments, the Chandra X-Ray
observatory has reached its final position, with an apogee
(or high point) of its orbit at 139,141 kilometers. The Chandra
team is now running the observatory through a series of tests
to ensure its instruments are in working order.

COSMONAUTS READY TO LEAVE MIR FOR THE LAST TIME
------------------------
Mir has run out of money, and the cosmonauts on board have prepared
and installed the equipment necessary in order to abandon the
station in a few weeks. It's unlikely another crew will ever return
to the station, and if they do, it will be an extremely complicated
affair to get it operational again.

SETI@HOME NEARS A MILLION USERS
------------------------
Online for only 3 months, SETI@home has 950,000 registered visitors,
continuing its position as the largest experiment in distributed
computing. In this time, they've processed more than 10% of the
backlogged data received by the giant Arecibo radio telescope.
