Astrophoto for December 21, 2012: Stars over the Temple of Quetzalcoatl

Our friend César Cantú sent us this image today, and it seemed perfect to share on the day where nothing apocalyptic happened. Hopefully, the day turned out for all our readers as only a chance to have a party and share a few jokes, to realize the specialness of those around you, or just to finish up your holiday preparations.

As someone once said, “Live long and prosper,” and as 2012 comes soon to a close, that is our wish to all of you.

(That, and please don’t believe any of those crazy doomsday prophesies anymore.)

  2. From Mayan Temple of the “Feathered Serpent”, of history legends old,
A fine celestial star scene captured, in Central American(?) twilight to behold,

The gloom and doom of a prophecy, another deceit to light of day, now exposed.
In its false vision, many did find alarm, but the World, troubled as it is, still goes on.

Lessons to excavate from this latest fraud, but how many will consider and learn?
If the past is a key to the future, some few may, but must, its value will not discern.

  3. Hi can you see in the picture in the sky a boy or a man running from the dark clouds?
You can see his eyes/ 2 stars and the contures of his head and bady whats up with that?
