When I look up at the sky, and see Jupiter it looks like a very bright star. However, these images make it look circular, rather than just a spot in the sky. Jupiter has only ever looked circular to me through a telescope.

Have they had a bit of Potatoshop work done to them? If so it begs the question… what’s the point?

I’ve been wondering about this. Looking at Jupiter over the last couple of months, it looks like a small disk rather than a point but I don’t know if it’s just an illusion because it’s so bright.
