This photo of the Pleiades was taken by Eduardo Marino on September 20, 2011.
The Pleiades, also known as Messier 45, is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Taurus. It contains middle-aged hot B-type stars. This star cluster can be easily observed in the night sky.
The image is a stack of 135×32 secs captured using a Canon 1000D camera with Sigma 55-200 lens with the following camera settings: 105mm @ F/5.6, ISO 1600.
