Have you ever wanted to see a famous city from space? With the number of satellites in space, I am sure that you are not surprised to find out the you can view continents, countries, or cities from space. If you go to the right website, you can view images of your own home.

We have assembled a page full of images of different continents, countries, and cities taken from space. Inside the links you can find additional links that will take you to more images as well as free websites where you can find specific images(like your front lawn). There are also some images that you can use as a background or wallpaper for your pc or laptop.

A few of the images are copyrighted. Please respect these copyrights by either seeking permission to reproduce them, keep them for personal use only, or include ay copyright stamps.

Google maps is the best free resource for satellite images. The image resolution on other sites may be better, but Google has an exclusive contract with GeoEye Inc for the use of a satellite and the images are more all encompassing. Go to the site and enter your preference. You will be able to view recent images of any place in the world. There may be a little lag depending on the satellites current position. I viewed my house and was able to determine the image was 24 hours old, but it’s a free service, you can not expect real time images.

Hopefully, you will find the images that you are looking for in the links or on one of the free websites mentioned. Happy hunting!
