This is an image of the space shuttle Endeavour taken from the International Space Station on July 17, 2009 before docking with the International Space Station.
This is an image of the space shuttle Atlantis carried at the back of a Shuttle Carrier Aircraft. The aircraft is bound for NASA Kennedy Space Center’s Shuttle Landing Facility where the shuttle first launched.
Here’s an image of the space shuttle Endeavor captured from the International Space Station by a crew member of Expedition 22 during the most recent space shuttle mission, STS-130 on February 9, 2010.
Here’s an old-age image of a space shuttle launch wherein a lightning was also captured. Lightning occurs not only during thunderstorms, but also during volcanic eruptions or dust storms sometimes.
This is an image of the space shuttle Endeavor during its first spacewalk. The space shuttle’s name came from a national competition involving students in elementary and secondary schools for which it became the most popular entry.
