Here’s a nice photo of a Uranian moon, Miranda taken by the Voyager 2 spacecraft in 1986. Miranda is considered the smallest among the five major moons of planet Uranus.
Here’s a nice image of the planet Uranus together with its moon, Ariel (white dot in the image). This photo was taken by the NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope. The planet Uranus is the first planet discovered using a telescope.
Here’s a nice picture of Uranus and its moons. This photo was taken by the NASA Hubble Space Telescope’s Near Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS) on July 28,1997. All in all, Uranus has 27 natural satellites.
This is an image of Uranus’ largest moon, Titania. This photo was captured by the Voyager 2 spacecraft on January 24, 1986. Titania has a radius of 788.9 kilometers.
This is a nice image of Umbriel, one of the five major moons of Uranus. This image was captured also by the Voyager 2 spacecraft in 1986. Umbriel is the darkest among the major moons of Uranus reflecting only 16% of the light that hits its surface.
