This very nice image of the Great Barrier Reef was taken by the Landsat 7’s Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus (ETM+) sensor on August 14, 1999. The Great Barrier Reef is located along the coast of Queensland, Australia.
Here’s another image of the Great Barrier Reef captured by the Multi-angle Imaging Spectroradiometer (MISR) instrument on August 26, 2000.
This image of the Great Barrier image was taken by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) flying aboard NASA’s Terra satellite on July 26, 2003. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral system in the world.
