It just, somehow, made me wonder how human civilization will look like when I'll be 70(I'm 18 now). A bit offtopic... Sorry for that:P.

YES,

these sort of observations defintely increase the possibility of subterranean forms of simple organic life. MARS probably does have life, we just do NOT have the equipment there to dig for it. I have no doubt its there.

It is the most facinating discovery in space it is very amazing to find a place in the yniverse that look a little bit alike our planet I hope you find some thing else for instant under ground where it mignt a little warmer that the water be liquid: probably we might find TERMITES JUST LIKE THE DWELLER TERMITES IN AUSTRALIA THAT WILL PROVE THAT LIFE IS POSSIBLE AT ANY CONDITIONS BEYE ROGER>

This quote doesn't bearup under examination: "We say dry because there aren't any thin films of liquid water mixed with salts in the soil."

Isnt the atmospheric pressure too low to allow liquid water? Therefore, wouldn't all water be either solid or vaporized?

"The snow starts falling from a height of 4 km and fall down to 2 km. At that point the observations stopped, as they were initially set up for a limited amount of time."

So the animated gif does obviously not show the snow, but rather the snow clouds.

"A laser instrument designed to gather knowledge of how the atmosphere and surface interact on Mars has detected snow from clouds about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) above the spacecraft's landing site. Data show the snow vaporizing before reaching the ground." ( www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=26570 )

So we've double, triple confirmed ice exists on Mars. And now we also know Mar's pH level is similar to that of the earth's ocean. But, have we found any "life's building blocks"? I'm sorry, I can't understand all that chemistry/bioligy jargons. After reading between the lines a few times though, I see "No, not yet". Am I right?

Ok, I don't know if I'm seeing this. Do they mean the white dots on the right edge that flash for 1 frame each @ 1286 and 1505?"

I second this- is this what this video is showing? I've not seen this video on any other news site though which I find odd if in fact this IS what it's showing!

Well I guess that settles the debate whether there is water on Mars. If there is enough for snow then there has to be alot of it around somewhere.

If there were snow on Titan(which i believe highly there is) it would be methane snow not water snow. However it is still highly intriguing.
