The Solar Probe mission will fly through the corona. The problem we are having at the moment is a lak of in-situ measurements, all measurements so far have been taken in the solar wind or remotely. To put an instrument in the corona will give us direct measurements of this strange atmosphere. Hopefully explaining some of the strange coronal behaviour...
