I'm sure I join countless others in noting the passing of Sir Arthur C. Clark. I was always attentive and appreciative of his faith in man's
destiny and his confirmation that this odd little
boy wasn't crazy in believing in the idea of space travel and all of the wonders yet to come.

Cynthia, Huey, Dewey, and Louie (from a great film called "Silent Running") were still much smart than Dextre – they could be ordered to do something and go do it. Dextre needs constant attention.

HAL actually turned out to be a "good " computer, horrror-show comparisons notwithstanding. He turned out to have been merely the sum of his programming, not some aberrent berserker.. I mourn the passing of A.C., he was a great futurist
