I just came across this date for the start of Cycle 24. I hear that this may include the highest known activity in Solar phenomena.
This was especially interesting to me as I have seen a clear relation between earthquakes and large CME's.
My 77th birthday was July 31, 2007.

NOAA reports that the just discovered
a reversed polarity sunspot numbered #10,981 is the first sunspot of Cycle #24 and that officially Cycle #24 would start in March.2008.

Any comments, please?
