Star Cluster Wallpaper
Written by Fraser Cain
Thanks to everyone who wrote in letting me know about your Mars party plans. I'm working on the list now, and should have something on the site by next week. If you, or your astronomy club, or your planetarium, or space society is planning a get together for Mars, let me know so I can add it to the list. Email me at info@universetoday.com.
Here's a new wallpaper for you. It's a beautiful picture of globular cluster NGC 6207, which was released from the Hubble Space Telescope yesterday. I've set the image up in 1600×1200 format so it should look good on large monitors, and then scale down nicely from there. Click the link, and then right-click on the image and choose "set as wallpaper". That will make it your desktop background.
I've also added this and several other Hubble photos to the photo galleries. If you're interested in purchasing a printed copy, a 4×6 is only $.99.
