Science: Solar System style is one of the broadest topics within the scientific community. There are literally hundreds of thousands of astronomy related websites on the internet. Tragically, very few of them are solidly based in science. Without an elementary knowledge to build on, you can be misled and misinformed. Many of these sites are hosted and written by conspiracy theorists and other crackpots.

Here at Universe Today it is our sole goal to educate anyone who wants knowledge. We have assembled a group of links about the Solar System that are all scientifically based and full of information for the beginner and experienced astronomer alike.

Astronomy Cast offers a few hundred podcasts about Solar System and astronomy in general. Universe Today is hosted by the same people, just so you know.

Try this webpage for everything related to the Spitzer Space Telescope; including news, an interactive page, and videos that show you what Spitzer has seen.

Specifically interested in the 8 planets? Try NinePlanets.com. Yeah, I know, sort of an ironic name since there are only 8, but this site is chock-full of information about all of the planets and their moons.

NASA is the definitive resource for science solar system style. NASA has several different webpages, but their Solar System Exploration page is the most encompassing.

SolarViews.com is not a very well known site, but it offers detailed information, photographs and videos about every object in the Solar System.

After you view an object on Solar Views, why not try viewing from the simulator offered by JPL? You can input the planet, moon, or spacecraft that you want a view from and the simulator will do the rest. It is the same as spaceflight, but may be a s close as the average person will be able to get.

NASA has had a commitment to the youngest of astronomers since its founding. The only way to demonstrate that is to offer educational opportunities for all ages. NASA does that on their SSE/Kids page.

This is not meant to be a complete list of sites that offer science: Solar System style. These are; however, all sites that Universe Today knows offer solid, science backed information that will not mislead or misinform anyone.
