  1. Great show you guys! Thanks for the updates and comments… I wuz totally jazzed when I heard the news of this event this morning! AM SO GLAD it didn’t explode above North Korea of Iran – no telling how THEY might have reacted? ACK! and Dzzzzz…

    This event reminded me of a bolide I witnessed back in 1994. Our group, The Wragg Canyon Star Gazers, met regularly on weekends closest to the new moon. That night, we’d stayed up almost all night and were totally zonked out as a result (I worked the day before!). There were only three of us awake… I was leaning over putting away my scope when all of a sudden there was a tremendous flash! I thought Enrigue had taken a flash photo of me? Instead he yelled, “WHAT was that?” We looked up and saw the end of a meteor train with the moment of the flash as a cloud-like ball of smoke in a smokey train along the line of the passage! WOW! Was that ever cool! No sonic boom… but what a rush!
